I want to welcome you to journey with me through my new blog, JulesDudko.com
I’m passionate about a holistic approach to life. After crippling anxiety, I decided to make a change - over the last 2 years, I’ve had many teachers and personal lessons that have forever changed my health and outlook on life.
Today, I am free of anxiety.
It is said you should only help others when you have helped yourself, and I finally feel like it is time I passed on what my teachers have taught me.
This blog for me is a place where I can write freely about wellness, beauty rituals, my favorites travel moments. It’s not just a place to find fashion advice (although there will be plenty of that, too) but a place where I can share part of my soul.
Now more than ever, it's important that we open our lives to journey together and continue to inspire one another to wholeness and happiness.
I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during this COVID-19 pandemic. First and foremost, I want to thank all of the medical staff and essential workers that have been so courageous, dedicated, and resilient in taking care of all of us and battling this virus on the frontlines. You are true heroes.
Over the past two years, I have been on a journey of realizing my vocation in mental and physical health, and this is a space where I would like to invite you to journey with me. My goal with this website, and when I initially began this journey, is to make a difference even in one person’s life.
Over the past 2 years, I have changed to a holistic lifestyle, clean beauty, and toxic-free living. I'm also taking Integrated Health courses at University of Arizona to become certified. I want to share what has made a difference in my life with you, especially in a time when physical and mental health is of utmost importance.
COVID-19, Quarantine Personal Update
It still seems unreal that we are all staying home and unnaturally distancing ourselves- and how vitally important it is that we do so. This week marks Week 7 for me. NYC is the epicenter of the COVID-19 and it’s been scary, to say the least. It IS of the most importance that we do our part – washing our hands, social distancing ourselves, wearing masks, donating and giving in whatever ways we can.
For me in particular , it has been very difficult to be apart from my friends and family. I never realized how much I took for granted. In an instant, everything was different. It’s only now that I have realized how delicate our fabric of society is and how quickly it can change.
Each morning and night before I go to bed, I read the news. It seems to me that during this time of socially distancing ourselves, people are collectively waking up and there is a shift of consciousness happening. Perhaps in these times of solitude and hardship, we have been awakened and begun questioning the fast-paced lifestyles we have lived and maybe, even, realized the things that mean the most to us.
No doubt, everyday is a battle. Just getting through the day with a positive outlook is an achievement for me. I’ve been on a mission to keep my mental health just as healthy as my physical health. Some days are tough, some days are better, but I know that we will see our friends and family again and emerge stronger, more resilient, and more awake than ever before.
Join Me Here Daily
So, if you are looking for a place of inspiration to explore a new, holistic lifestyle to help you get through this time - I’d love for you to join me here. I will be posting daily or you can subscribe below. And if you feel compelled to do more to help others, I’ve highlighted organizations doing noble work around the globe.
- GoFundMe created a Covid-19 Relief Fund, which has raised more than $290,000 to support people affected by the coronavirus and to help find a cure
- Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is an American pediatric cancer charity founded by Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who lived in Connecticut and suffered from neuroblastoma. The Foundation was started in 2005 by Alex's parentsHelp Childhood Cancer Families. All donations benefit ALSF's COVID-19fund.
Heart to Heart International is distributing urgently needed equipment and medication to its partners around the world. Medical supplies are also being delivered to providers on the front lines.
Direct Relief works in the United States and internationally to equip doctors and nurses with lifesaving medical resources. The organization is delivering protective masks, exam gloves and isolation gowns to health-care organizations in areas with confirmed covid-19 cases.
We’ve been through multiple changes of blogs, usernames, and social media platforms but I have a feeling this one will have longevity and even greater impact.
Stay safe and stay home,
